From ancient ruins, majestic hanging monasteries, beautiful vineyards, and an amazing island, this is YOUR dream vacation!

Greece is considered the cradle of western civilization and home of some of the most important ancient and archaeological sites in the world. We will begin in Athens by exploring the local cultural and archaeological sites bringing together the past, present and future. Athens is a perfect example of living history and living dreams.

Athena is an example of women’s dreams coming to light and a visit to her beautiful city with other women will be a wondrous memory making a dream vacation come true. Let’s make it happen!

Day 1 - Athens: Welcome to Athens!

You will arrive Athens, Greece, the land of the mythical Gods and ancient civilization.

This will be a week filled with Greek gods, myths, monasteries, wine and new friends.

Before noon, you will be welcomed at Athens International Airport by your private driver and taken to your four/five-star hotel or private luxury accommodations.

The afternoon will be spent relaxing, taking in the scenery and remembering all of those Greek Gods you have dreamed about. We will whet our exploration appetite with an easy stroll through cobblestone streets reaching the Plaka in anticipation of the beautiful 10 days of exploration. There will be a lovely evening of wine tasting, ouzo, mezes and a rooftop evening view of the Acropolis.

*Welcome Dinner

Day 2 - Athens: Let's Explore!

After breakfast, we will visit a local neighborhood and participate in the weekly laiki (the farmer's market)! This is a staple food market in every Athens neighborhood. After the short neighborhood tour, you will have a few hours for lunch on your own and a bit of shopping before we meet our private guide and begin our tour at the new Acropolis Museum.

We will then climb up the Acropolis itself and its timeless temples of the Parthenon, Erectheion and Athena Nike.

If time allows and you are up for it, we will make a short climb up to the Hill of Philopappus to the imposing Roman-period funeral monument with extensive views of Athens and Piraeus. Or let Stamie show you her favorite hidden neighborhood amongst the rocks of the Acropolis! The afternoon can be spent shopping in the Plaka and further exploring the neighborhoods surrounding the center of Athens. The evening will be spent with a private wine tasting followed by Greek dancing and maybe even a few broken plates! Opa!

*Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3 - Athens and Cape Sounion: The Temple of Poseidon

This will be a morning of relaxation and catching up on any necessary rejuvenation needed.

We will then travel to Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon, stopping along the scenic way to take in stunning coastal views and arrive in time for a majestic sunset.

We will pass the idyllic beaches of the Saronic Gulf and will have an opportunity to stop for a lovely seafood dinner. The view across the Aegean is magnificent and this afternoon will whet your appetite to return and visit more of the Greek Islands.

The Temple of Poseidon was built in 44BC and many of its original Doric columns are still standing. And if you look closely enough, Lord Byron left behind his own graffiti message in the early 1800s.

*Breakfast, Dinner

Day 4 - Athens - Syntagma Square & National Gardens

After an early breakfast, we will make our way to Syntagma Square where we will enjoy the changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Only at this particular time is there a full military parade that accompanies the changing of the guard.

You will learn to navigate the metro system. It is quite modern and features relics and antiquities from the archaeological digs during construction.

We will then walk through the the beautiful National Gardens and make our way to the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic games were hosted in 1896. It is there where we will meet our guides to enjoy an afternoon food and wine tour!

*Breakfast

Day 5 - Athens to Napflio

After breakfast, we will depart Athens via private luxe transportation and drive through Ancient Corinth and the Canal for a visit to Mycenae and the Epidaurus theatre.

The Ancient Greeks had slaves drag boats across the narrow spit of land that separated the Aegean Sea from the Adriatic Sea; but modern man has created a canal to allow ships to pass. The Corinth Canal is a wonder of modern engineering; we will stop here for a short time to take in this modern marvel as we travel to Napflio.

Along the way to Napflio, we will stop for wine tasting and lunch in a small Greek village before we reach Epidarus, a must-see amphitheater. This well-preserved site, built over 2,000 years ago, has some of the most perfect acoustics you will ever experience. Someone standing on the stage can be heard whispering from the back row. You will have an opportunity to give us a personal performance!

It will be an amazing experience before we spend the evening in the town of Napflio, the first capital of Greece, where we will stroll along the promenade and gaze at Greek, Venetian and Turkish architecture before having a seaside dinner and spending the night in a lovely seaside hotel.

*Breakfast, Lunch

Day 6 - Napflio, Olympia and Delphi

This morning will be a quick start to make our way to Olympia, home of the Olympic games and the site where the flame for every Modern Olympic Games torch is lit.

Along the way we will also visit Ancient Mycenae, home to some of the oldest civilizations found in Greece. The home of the lauded King Agamemnon, this ancient site was once one of the most important centers of the Bronze Age.

The famous Lions Gate is the crowning jewel of the archaeological site which you will have the chance to explore before grabbing lunch on your own. After lunch, we will continue from Rion to Antirion on the new, “state of the art” suspended bridge, considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe.

We will arrive in Delphi in time for a beautiful sunset and a lovely dinner in a local restaurant in the nearby village of Arachova.

*Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7 - Delphi to Meteora

Today will be one of the more memorable days of your visit to Greece. After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful Sanctuary at Delphi, one of the most sacred and beautiful ancient sites in Greece.

Nestled high in the hills at the foot of Mount Parnassos, Delphi has been part of the Greek psyche for many centuries, being home to the famous oracle and the vestal virgins who used to tend to the Temple. You will spend the morning discovering this fascinating ancient site for yourself with an introduction by our private guide.

You can spend as much time as you want at the ruins of the temples, bath houses, and the well preserved amphitheater, or you can head directly to the Delphi Archaeological Museum with its fascinating array of artifacts.

Around lunchtime we will make our way to the town of Kalambaka, traveling through the towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala on the way. The landscape changes as you travel north. The mountains become starker and the land more lush. Arriving in Kalambaka, we will hopefully have enough time to visit one monastery before sunset. You will witness breathtaking mountains, home to the most awesome monasteries in the world. After a local taverna dinner, Kalambaka’s nightlife can be explored.

*Breakfast

Day 8 - Kalambaka - Meteora's Monasteries

Waking in Kalambaka, in the shadow of the mountains, we will spend the morning at one of the most unique places on the planet.

After an early breakfast, we may decide to walk to our first Monastery or have our driver lead the way up the windy mountain to the site of the Monasteries at Meteroa, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Meteora means “suspended in air” which is literally how most see these monasteries, perched high up on the sheer cliff and mountain faces, and still home to many monks.

In late afternoon, we will leisurely depart for Athens making stops along the way. Our overnight will be on the beautiful bay of Microlimano.

*Breakfast

Day 9 - Santorini

This morning we will board our ferry to Santorini.

When we think of a dream vacation in Greece, we imagine white-washed buildings with blue roofs, endless turquoise waters and magnificent sunsets – this is Santorini, Greece’s most spectacular island!

Let’s explore the narrow alleys, astonishing scenery and learn about the centuries-old wine culture before we have our first Santorini wine tasting dinner!

*Breakfast, Dinner

Day 10 - Santorini - Between the Aegean Sea and Cliffs

We will explore the villages of Fira and Oia.

After an early breakfast, for those who are adventuresome, we will hike along the caldera from Fira to Oia. It is an easy hike of about six miles, done at a leisurely pace.

For those who do not want to hike, arrangements will be made to meet the group in Oia for lunch.

It's a heavenly reward for those who have completed the hike with the most mesmerizing views you have ever seen! The afternoon will be spent exploring on your own, shopping or lounging by a pool.

*Breakfast

Day 11 - Santorini

Enjoy your morning at leisure before we set sail on a luxurious catamaran for a private sunset sail and wine dinner. Our first stop is the Isle of Nea Kameni for a view of the volcano (caldera). You may have the option to explore the volcano, weather permitting.

Next the boat stops at Palaia Kameni, where you can enjoy a short swim to the Hot Springs, which many believe to have healing powers. Then, the catamaran sails along the coast for the famous Santorini sunset. We will enjoy an onboard dinner with select Santorini wines before returning to our boutique hotel for our final night in Santorini.
